Your contribution to the team
At Frekuent, we're not just building payment solutions — we're creating seamless experiences that move businesses and customers forward. As an Operations Intern, you will work directly with the operations team to support project management, documentation, and quality assurance activities across sectors such as vending, gas stations, laundromats, EV charging stations, and more.
What you'll be doing
- Track and update Supply Chain & Procurement (SCP) KPIs, ensuring clear visibility across the department and driving proactive follow-ups with the team.
- Maintain and optimize our Inventory Database by identifying and correcting duplicate SKUs, updating outdated pricelists, and refreshing obsolete supplier information.
- Set up and manage critical alerts for supply chain anomalies, including delayed Purchase Orders (POs), shipping incidents, and Reorder Point (ROP) stock triggers.
- Monitor and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs), confirming delivery dates with suppliers and ensuring accurate system registration.
- Perform invoice matching, verifying that supplier invoices align flawlessly with POs and physical warehouse receipts to reduce friction with the Finance team.
- Support supplier evaluation efforts by gathering and compiling monthly performance data to feed into our supplier compliance scorecard.
- Assist in inventory reconciliation, participating in cycle counts and auditing discrepancies between our ERP system and physical stock.
- Document and standardize processes (SOPs) to ensure operational knowledge is clearly captured step-by-step and accessible to the team.
- Own a special project: Design and implement a dedicated shipping incident management environment/tool, allowing clients to report and track delivery issues directly without passing through Sales or Tech Support.
What You Will Learn
- Hands-on experience with core supply chain, procurement, and inventory management processes in a fast-paced hardware and tech environment.
- How to build, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive supply chain visibility and decision-making.
- Cross-functional collaboration, acting as a bridge between Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Support operations.
- Best practices in procurement operations, from PO tracking and invoice reconciliation to supplier performance evaluation.
- Master data management, system auditing, and how to maintain the health of an ERP/Inventory database.
- Project management and product thinking through the end-to-end development of your own incident management tool.
Who we're looking for
- Currently enrolled or recently finished a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail—you love diving into databases, spotting discrepancies, and organizing information.
- Solid command of Google Sheets/Excel. Experience with ERP systems or data visualization tools is a strong plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and a professional level of English.
- Availability: Able to commit to a 40-hour workweek.
- A proactive problem-solver with a process-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, finance, and internal teams.
- Takes accountability and consistently owns the outcome throughout the process.
- Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth.
- Comfortable speaking up and proposing bold, creative ideas that add value (especially for your dedicated project!).
