JOB DESCRIPTION


We are looking for a Predoctoral medical researcher for an educational project on endocrine-disrupting chemical (EDC) exposure in school settings.




MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


The main responsibilities of the position include:
  • Producing and reviewing scientific literature related to the study topic.
  • Reviewing and validating the information materials provided to parents and guardians.
  • Conducting educational workshops in participating schools.
  • Responding to questions from families in a professional and accessible manner.
  • Performing anthropometric measurements on participants.
  • Analyzing data collected through questionnaires from families and schools.
  • Participating in regular research team meetings.
  • Contributing to the preparation and dissemination of scientific publications based on study results.




QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE


  • Required level of education: Bachelor's degree in Medicine, with specific knowledge in paediatrics and basic knowledge in pharmacology or pharmacy.
  • Languages. Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Specific knowledge. Background in Medicine, with knowledge in environmental exposure, pediatrics, and basic pharmacy.
  • Personal skills: Empathetic, communicative person with strong adaptability to school environments. Experienced in teamwork, responsible, and proactive in organizing educational activities. Committed to confidentiality, respectful interaction, and children's well-being.
  • Required experience. Previous experience working with children in the healthcare field is required, along with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly with families from a medical perspective. A strong understanding of child growth and development is essential, as well as experience presenting scientific work at conferences.

WHAT WE OFFER


  • Type of contract and working hours: Part-time 20h/week. Indefinite contract (Contrato indefinido por actividades científico-técnicas 14/2011)
  • Date of incorporation: 01/09/2025
  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.
  • Flexible payment (childminding vouchers + restaurant ticket).
  • 23 days holiday and 5 days for personal matters.
  • Training capsules by the company.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
