This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Frontend Engineer React (3 months contract) in Sweden.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-scale fintech platform as a senior frontend engineer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable React components while collaborating closely with backend teams to integrate APIs seamlessly. The position emphasizes performance, user experience, and clean, maintainable code. You will participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions, occasionally handling Node.js for Backend-for-Frontend logic or server-side rendering. This fully remote role provides autonomy and accountability within an innovative, fast-moving environment. Your contributions will directly impact the platform’s scalability and user satisfaction across multiple markets in Europe.
Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, reusable, and scalable React components and frontend architectures.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and responsiveness.
- Optimize frontend performance across devices to deliver fast and reliable user experiences.
- Collaborate with agile teams on code reviews, architecture decisions, and technical solutions.
- Implement Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) logic and server-side rendering with Node.js as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of high-quality development through testing, documentation, and proactive problem-solving.
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development with a focus on frontend technologies.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, including pre-processors or CSS-in-JS.
- Extensive commercial experience with React (Hooks, Context API, State Management).
- Experience with Node.js for tooling, server-side rendering, or lightweight backend tasks.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills suitable for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
