Job Description - CEO Trainee

By end of 2023, Consilium Safety Group was acquired by the infrastructure private equity firm Antin Infrastructure Partners. With strong investors in our back and a transformative growth journey ahead, we are now looking for a CEO Trainee to support and work alongside our President and CEO, Philip Isell Lind af Hageby and the corporate management team (CMT). This is an exceptional opportunity for a top talent early in the career, to get full insight into the management of a private equity owned company, with direct exposure to the management team and Board of Directors. Working closely with the CEO and the CMT, you will support them in their daily business as well as work hands-on in exciting projects and initiatives within a wide scope, covering all types of strategic topics spanning across different markets and geographies, functions, and segments.

As a CEO Trainee, you will have the opportunity to make an impact from day one. You will be a part of the Corporate Development team, who acts as the extended arm of the CMT with responsibility to drive projects of high strategic importance to deliver on the corporate strategy within all functions, including M&A activities. As these are the top priorities of the CEO and CMT, the CEO Trainee will be deeply involved in these topics. You will also be supporting the corporate management team in planning, managing and keeping track of the corporate calendar and the companies’ values creation plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the CEO Philip Isell Lind af Hageby and support him in strategic, operational and administrative work.
  • Support and work with other members of the CMT as well as the Corporate Development team.
  • Be responsible for varying and challenging activities, where some examples are:
    • Ensure that the CEO’s daily routines are managed
    • Prepare analyses and decision material for executive stakeholders and the Board
    • Support the Corporate Development team in strategic projects.
    • Support the team with M&A activities
    • Act as a strategic sounding board for key stakeholders across the organization
    • Coordinate CMT meetings and manage the corporate calendar
  • You will be reporting to the Head of Corporate Development

Preferred skills and prerequisites:

  • Master's degree from a top university within business or/and engineering
  • <2 years of work experience, either from working in a leading management consulting firm or equivalent, during or after graduation
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with both quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced and complex business environment, with skills of balancing a strong sense of details and pragmatism
  • Strong team player with a “roll-up-your-sleeve” attitude
  • Strong social skills with a creative mind-set used to master challenges and build strong relationships
  • Business sense, the ability to quickly grasp complex problems in a diverse range of industries
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience of managing dialogues with executive stakeholders
  • Humble, creative and able to work independently
  • Motivated, with a strong personal drive and ambition
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the interest of being part of a growing team
  • High proficiency in the Office-package, incl. Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel
