Stena Bulk is looking for a team member to the Chartering-department!

 

With offices in six countries, Stena Bulk is one of the world's leading tanker shipping companies, controlling a fleet of around 70 vessels. We are now looking for a competent colleague to join our team at the office in Gothenburg.

We Offer
A Chartering position in Gothenburg. The seniority of the position itself depends on the applicant as we are open to the right person. Our office is located near Järntorget/Masthuggstorget and consists of a team of 25 colleagues. In addition to Chartering, we handle Operations, Bunker, Claims, and Finance. The same office also houses Stena Bulk's management with administration.

Working with Chartering, your primary responsibility is to secure optimal employment for the commercially managed tonnage of Stena Bulk and Stena Sonangol, aligning with company objectives, budget and business plan. This involves effectively marketing the tonnage to potential customers, negotiating charter agreements, and maximizing vessel utilization.

Additionally, you'll maintain strong relationships with customers, tanker brokers, and attend industry, government and other meetings to stay ahead of changing industry conditions. Thus, providing market intelligence and updates to management and staff regularly. Your role also includes analyzing economic factors, evaluating chartering strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

 

About You
To thrive in this role, you must be a team player who understands and appreciates the importance of a well-functioning team. Collaboration and daily dialogue are central to delivering the best possible results for our customers and our organization.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and customer relations skills, along with proficient negotiation abilities. A solid understanding of marine economic analysis and of industry charter party terms and conditions is essential. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in business, an MBA, a Master's degree in Nautical Science, or possess equivalent experience. You must also be fluent in English as we operate on an international market. Most of our customers are not based in Gothenburg, which means some travelling is required.
