New Product Development Project Manager

Your purpose & impact:
As the NPD Innovation Manager at Estrid you are responsible for overall new product development projects on-time delivery by coordinating cross functional teams (such as Product Development, brand, creative, B2B and supply), from the project kick off until the product is successfully launched being the owner of all NPD timelines. Using your strong project management skills, you will manage the related tasks and critical paths; collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks, seeing the project through to successful completion, and securing cross-functional excellence.

Some of the things you’ll do:

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocation.

• Lead internal and external weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to hold stakeholders accountable to delivery on critical path timelines.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and any deviations from the plan.

• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments to achieve project goals.

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

• In collaboration with leadership, develop and roll out an efficient cross-functional NPD & innovation stage gate process.

• Support in continuously shape a best-in-class data and customer centric driven product development & innovation process to successfully ideate and validate future products.

• Allocate resources effectively to support project activities, balancing workload and priorities across team members.

• Work closely with the Supply Chain team and Suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards throughout the product development process, in partnership with your Product Development peers.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the NPD process, driving efficiencies and enhancing outcomes

Skills and experiences important for this role:

• Bachelor’s degree, preference to a degree in project management, business administration, marketing, or related field.

• 3 - 5 years proven experience within a project management role, within the cosmetic industry.

• Experience in a product development role is preferred.

• Proven success in developing and bringing new products to counter.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Strong organisational skills with a proactive mindset.

• The ability to problem solve and navigate around obstacles.

• A hands on, flexible approach and willingness to get ‘stuck in’.

• Personal interest in sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity.

• Experience in implementing a stage gate process would be beneficial, but not essential.
