Key Responsibilities:

• Drive research and implementation of new cutting-edge graphics technology and tools
• Analyse, refactor and improve upon existing graphics technology.
• Assist and advise other software developers in use of graphics/rendering features, while debugging and fixing problems.
• Profile and optimise the entire rendering pipeline, including lighting and shading components of the game.
• Keep up to date with latest graphics and rendering techniques and tools, helping us to innovate, plan, and deliver full features.

Key Requirements:

• Professional Unreal Engine development experience on PC and/or consoles.
• Experience with low-level systems programming.
• Strong practical knowledge of C++, with relevant professional experience.
• Practical and demonstrable professional experience with graphics programming in a modern game engine, having worked extensively on rendering techniques, optimisation, memory management, and content pipelines.
• Experience profiling and optimising code for optimal CPU, GPU, memory, and bandwidth usage.
• Experience working in all phases of game development, from feature design and implementation to bug-fixing.
• A strong understanding of state-of-the-art rendering techniques used in modern games.
• A strong interest in researching and implementing new graphics related technologies.
• Strong computer science and maths background.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to self-organise.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge/Experience profiling GPU/CPU using Unreal Insights
• Expertise in the use of Pix, RenderDoc or Razor GPU/CPU
• Experience of implementing optimization strategies for Asset and Frame time budgets (e.g. Draw Call reduction, material/shader cycle reduction)
