The Role

About the Role:

Join our team as Data Center Technician, providing support for company servers and those at customer data centers. We're looking for a candidate with a balanced set of technical skills ( Hardware, IT, and Cabling Management ), strong analytical abilities, attention-to-detail, self-motivation, and a positive, results-driven attitude. As a technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining servers, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to our knowledge library.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns following specific instructions.
• Assist and guide other technicians on challenging or complex tasks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customers and business operations.
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents according to procedures.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and comply with safety procedures.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through information sharing, team meetings, and proactive communication.
• Comply with Data Center Services (DCS) policies, procedures, and deadlines.
• Complete assigned tickets efficiently, meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer/server hardware and understanding of component/system failures.
• Experience administering software tools for diagnostics, tests, and firmware updates.
• Familiarity with Linux PXE services is a plus.
• Growth mindset and commitment to continuous process improvement.
• B asic Linux and Windows scripting experience is advantageous.
• Virtual Machine setup and environment configurations are desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously or within a team, including geographically dispersed teams.
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience/schooling.
• CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience/schooling.
• Windows OS experience.
• Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience is a plus.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications:

• 2-4+ years of relevant experience as a data center technician/Server Hardware Deployment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift items up to 50lbs independently or heavier items in partnership.
• Proficiency in autonomous and collaborative work within local or dispersed teams.
