ABOUT THE ROLE:

Meet Sahara, our ideal Project Manager—dry, dependable, and consistently reliable. If you hate ambiguity and love clear, well-defined plans, then you are our Sahara. You will be the driving force in our development team, coordinating projects with precision and ensuring nothing leaks through the cracks... because if it does, we know you'll dry it up fast. In this role, you’ll transform vague requirements into crystal-clear tasks, much like an oasis in the desert. Your mission involves an extensive amount of customer contact. You’ll be the face that reassures our clients their project is in the best hands. You'll bridge various departments, from sales to customer success to actual customers, ensuring everyone is in sync. Your collaborators will include our illustrious CPO, CTO, and our lovely Product Owner Kate who will join forces with you to prioritize like never before. Sahara will be the soul that collects all requests, filters them, and then presents them in a way even a cactus could understand. You'll create and manage timelines, keep everyone on schedule, and ensure deadlines are met—no exceptions. You’ll work on estimations together with developers, ensuring everyone is on the same page. You’ll be working with the Shape Up methodology, an excellent agile approach that you'll get to master—no dehydration of knowledge here!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage with customers, sales, and customer success teams to gather and clarify requirements.
• Ensure all requirements are dried up—I mean, clear—enough for the development team.
• Break down complex requirements into user stories and shapes.
• Collaborate with the CPO, CTO, and Product Owner to decide on project priorities and feasibility.
• Maintain regular contact with customers, providing updates and ensuring their requests are being met, making them feel reassured and confident in our process.
• Create and manage project timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.
• Work closely with developers to create accurate estimations and keep projects on deadline.
• Be an integral part of evolving and perfecting our development process using the Shape Up methodology.
• Report progress to other departments and manage communication channels.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Project Manager.
• Proven experience with various project methodologies such as Shape Up, Scrum, Kanban, etc., and an understanding of their pros and cons.
• Solid technical background and understanding of development projects and computer systems.

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, even when faced with repetitive one-sentence feature requests (with a touch of humor).
• In-depth understanding of agile software development.
• Strong customer engagement skills to ensure their needs are fully understood and met, and to make them feel their project is in dependable hands.
• Tech-savvy with a good grasp of development processes and systems.
• A knack for being dry, dependable, and consistently reliable—like Sahara herself.
• Meticulous in creating timelines and managing deadlines with an iron fist (or a very dry stick).
