Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our app team, situated in Stockholm! The team’s mission is to offer the most smooth and enjoyable podcast experience, where users always find something to listen to. Our tech stack in the team n* C#/.net8, n* Azure, n* Kubernetes, n* RabbitMQ, n* SQL, n* BigQuery, n* microservices. n n As part of your daily work, you will: n* Design, develop, and maintain server-side components of our software applications n* Write clean, efficient, and readable code using best practices n* Work closely with the frontend developers to integrate server-side components with the frontend n* Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements n* Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our applications n* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the backend systems n* Continuously improve the performance and efficiency of our systems, maintain a high quality of the Podme application and services n* Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends and best practices to continually improve our products and processes n n Who are we looking for? n* Strong experience in C# and microservices n* Experience with scalable cloud-based systems n* You thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment n* A self-starter with excellent spoken/written communication and the ability to work effectively in a team n* Sense of ownership: taking ownership all the way from planning to coding and then running it in production n n It's an advantage if you have n* Experience with Kubernetes, Azure, RabbitMQ, building/maintaining SaaS products n* Startup experience n n A little peek at what we offer n* Internal career growth opportunities n* The flexibility of working from home, our team works in a hybrid setup n* Opportunity for development of competencies, conferences, and various knowledge-sharing events such as hackathons, innovation days, etc. n* Wellness allowance and healthcare insurance n* Access to Podme premium podcasts n n Our interview process n* Recruiter screening (30 min): an initial call with the tech recruiter. We'll tell you a bit about us, answer any questions you may have, and learn about your background and what you're looking to do. n* Technical interview (90 min): system design interview and potentially some computer science fundamentals discussions together with a code review exercise with 2 of our engineers. n* Values interview (45 min): meeting the engineering manager and product manager focusing on your previous experiences as a teammate in various situations. n* Offer extended!
