Senior UX Designer

As a Senior UX Designer at Sembo, you will drive our goal of crafting intuitive and delightful experiences that enable travelers to effortlessly plan, book, and enjoy unique holidays. You will craft accessible design solutions that are not only loved by our travelers but also drive our business forward.

Your role will lead the charge in designing and optimizing user interfaces that enhance the travel experience, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing and other stakeholders to ensure the design vision aligns with and enhances the overall product strategy.

Your design thinking and ability to scale from strategic discussions down to “the devil is in the details” design focus will help shape the future of travel by continuously refining our user experience, ensuring that it meets high standards of usability and satisfaction, always advocating for the traveler.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate and lead the UX design processes in a cross functional, empowered product team, focus on the traveler and their needs in complex spaces, ensuring that the design aligns with Sembo’s strategic goals and resonate deeply with our travelers.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, analysis and feedback loops to better understand the challenges, needs, goals and behaviors of our travelers and translating insights into actionable design solutions.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
• Foster a collaborative culture within our Design team, Product, Engineers and Marketing and encourage innovative ideas and solutions while maintaining a high level of performance.
• Define and communicate effective design strategies and rationales to stakeholders across the company.
• Champion best practices in UX Design, accessibility and usability standards, and advocate for the traveler throughout the product development lifecycle.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing customer-focused products or services
• Proficiency in Figma and a solid understanding of design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Proven track record of leading successful UX design projects from concept to launch, with a focus on improving key metrics such as conversion rates, engagement and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts, presenting findings, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Dynamic and responsive personality with an ability to drive initiatives alongside Product and Engineering leads.
• Committed to innovation, always looking for smarter, traveler-focused ways to achieve goals and objectives.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Experience working within a Design System and designing with accessibility in mind is a big plus.
