Working with climate-conscious businesses, farmers, land stewards, and biochar producers to provide the tools, technology, and training needed to transform sustainably sourced biomass into biochar, thus generating carbon removal credits and enhancing soil health. Their mission is to permanently remove CO₂ from the atmosphere, supporting people and food systems to prosper.

The Challenge

Are you passionate about supply chain management and driven to make a positive impact on the planet? As one of the first hires at a mission-driven impact startup, you'll have the unparalleled opportunity to shape the trajectory of their journey towards sustainability and global impact.

Planboo is seeking a dedicated and proactive Carbon Projects Manager to join their team. In this role, you will lead the Supply Department, aiming to automate all stages of project activation for optimal efficiency, reliability, and scalability, without compromising the trust built with project partners. You will be collaborating directly with international projects and a global team of passionate change makers contributing to tackling climate change through carbon removal whilst improving soil health.

Your challenge: Design and implement strategies to manage and grow the supply of high-quality carbon removal. Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading the Supply Department: Craft growth strategies and cultivate new partnerships (project developers)
  • Partnership Building: Foster strong partnerships and recommend efficient methods for project success.
  • Communication and Liaison: Proficient in English, facilitating effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Process and systems thinking: For efficient management of data, teams and organisation.
  • Project Monitoring and Management: Oversee project progress and ensure targets are met.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate gathering and validation of project data.
  • Strategic Alignment and Coordination: Align with the executive team and establish department targets.
  • Managing Supply Budget : ensuring financial efficiency.

  • Technology Integration: Experience leveraging tech tools for monitoring, management and analysis.
  • Innovative Thinking: Track record of bringing innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and operations.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Strong analytical, technical diligence, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, sustainable consulting, environmental management or carbon credit projects, or similar experience.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites for infield training and project monitoring.
