Job Description - Global Sales Director

Autoliv's primary goal is to Save More Lives. We are the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems developing, manufacturing, and marketing protective systems, such as airbags, seatbelts, and steering wheels. To drive growth outside of the core products, Autoliv has established growth-oriented business unit called Mobility Safety Solutions. 

One of the key businesses within Mobility Safety Solutions is called Commercial Vehicle, offering core products like Seatbelts, Airbags and Steering Wheels and we are looking for a new colleague to join our team in the  Globa Sales Director role .

If you have :

  • Master's engineering degree preferred
  • 7+ years of sales leadership or strategic account experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in the commercial vehicle market – a good network is preferred 
  • 15+ years of experience as a Sales lead in a multinational automotive company with solid B2B commercial background 
  • Knowledge of dynamics and key players in the Truck and Bus market 
  • In-depth knowledge of business mechanics 
  • Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking
  • Leading diverse groups in different time zones previous experience

and you think you will be able to deliver the following:

  • Build and create a sales organization through representatives for the commercial off-road market and their customers. 
  • Proven experience in sales with strong demonstrated results, either directly to end user and/or through indirect sales channel. 
  • An ability to pivot or adjust the organizational direction based on new conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence customer decision makers at multiple levels 
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure that the executives are informed on the progress of those goals 
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets. 
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs. 
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes. 
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals. 
  • Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
  • Develop others by developing a broader regional/global and cross-functional mindset, that includes networking, strengthening relationships and acting as regional and global ambassadors

This role will require traveling globally 30%-40% of the time.
