Job Description - Head of Sales

As Head of Sales, you'll be responsibility for sales at CarbonCloud. You'll be tasked with not only acquiring new customers but also nurturing relationships with existing ones, all while maintaining a constant focus in your team on achieving ambitious sales targets. Your leadership will be instrumental in expanding our customer base and driving growth, ultimately leading the team to deliver on our vision.

At CarbonCloud, we're on a mission to combat climate change by empowering food and beverage companies worldwide to measure and reduce their climate emissions. Our SaaS enables food and beverage players to identify, track, and optimize their emissions with category leading data throughout their supply chains. We're seeking a salesperson who is passionate, adaptable, and results-driven to join us in this important endeavor. As a Head of Sales, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and develop our sales team, utilizing current resources while also structuring and expanding as part of our segmentation strategy, fostering a positive and successful team environment to drive rapid growth.
  • Drive achievement of aggressive sales targets in collaboration with the team, focusing on onboarding and developing team members to enhance performance.
  • Manage key customer relationships at a senior level, actively participating in strategic opportunities when necessary.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, conducting ongoing analysis of business performance to support daily operations and quarterly business reviews. 
  • Define and implement sales processes to optimize outcomes, continuously identifying and implementing improvements to support sales function success. 
  • Work closely with other executives to shape long-term business strategy, providing valuable input into plans and resource requirements, although the ultimate responsibility for strategy execution lies beyond this role.

To succeed and deliver in this role, we think you have...

  • 5-8 years of sales experience and at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams of more than 8 people with diverse roles such as SDRs and AE.
  • Experience in SaaS companies and B2B sales, particularly in environments characterized by low volume, low average deal size, and short sales cycles.
  • Strong tech understanding to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions.
  • Preferably, experience or a strong interest in sustainability initiatives.
  • Worked in smaller growing companies, start-ups, or scale-ups, demonstrating an understanding of the smaller business context.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Additional information:

  • Salary: OTE 50/50 split
  • Scope: Full-time employment (with a 6-month probationary period)
  • Location: on site at our HQ in Gothenburg, located at Aschebergsgatan 44
  • Vacation days: 25 days of vacation annually
  • Benefits: Fitness subsidy of 2000 SEK, Health insurance, Pension
  • It is mandatory to hold a working permit (work VISA) for Sweden before applying (for non-EU citizens)
