‍ About the role

KanEL is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance our dynamic tech team. You'll be integral in evolving our digital platforms and tools that power our innovative energy solutions. This role offers the opportunity to develop end-to-end software solutions, impacting both front-end and back-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Convert business needs into adaptable and streamlined code solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to grasp and meet their requirements proficiently.
• Construct and uphold code frameworks, encompassing CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize cloud platforms, notably AWS, for application development and deployment.
• Navigate through multiple tasks concurrently within a dynamic, agile setting.

Who you are

To succeed in this role, you need

• +3 years of back-end development experience.
• Ability to work independently, willing to take on responsibility.
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions to automate software deployment and operational processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

It’s a plus if you have

• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent field.
• Experience in a startup/scale-up environment.
• Experience working within the renewable energy sector.
• Experience in building microservices in languages like Go.
• Experience with mobile app development, preferably Flutter.
• Familiarity with IoT and MQTT
• Experience with AWS IoT cloud services (e.g., Greengrass, IoT Core).
