As Standard Chartered Bank continues to expand its footprint in the Nordics region, we are looking for an Associate Director Trade Sales to join our Transaction Banking team in Stockholm . You will be growing the assigned existing portfolio of International Corporate clients as well as driving “new to bank” Trade revenues. This will be a regional role reporting to the Head of Trade Finance Sales in the Nordics region, focusing on the clients based in the Nordics countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland) as well as in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Have a complete ownership of Trade Finance client level revenue for the assigned portfolio of clients within Transaction Banking Trade Finance, Nordics and Netherlands
- Focus on growing Trade Flow and Open Account opportunities within assigned portfolio of clients
- Act as a trusted advisor – you will be the ‘go to’ person for your clients when they seek strategic Transaction Banking advice
- Support clients with necessary credit & compliance approvals on credit application process when necessary
- Ensure, in cooperation with other teams, that the clients receive the best-in-class client servicing and support
Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in sales roles in the banking industry, ideally combined with the knowledge of the Nordics markets
- Good understanding of Trade products and Working Capital Solutions
- Strong understanding of Credit and Credit Application process
- Ability to work effectively with clients i.e. foster existing client relations, understand and identify client business needs, and proactively offer them solutions
- Ability to collaborate and build credibility with internal key stakeholders from Credit, Risk, Relationship Manager, Operations, Compliance and Product Management teams
- Commercial mindset, analytical skills, hands-on and solutions-oriented approach
- Fluency in English is a must, fluency in Swedish or in any language spoken in the Nordic countries will be considered an asset
