The Faculty of Law at the University of Münster is seeking to fill the permanent position of a System administrator with a focus on application development to be filled. Depending on personal requirements and the assignment of corresponding tasks, the position will be graded up to pay group 11 TV-L. The working time is currently 39 hours 50 minutes per week. With almost 5,000 students, the Faculty of Law is one of the largest law faculties in Germany. The IT Supply Unit 3 (IVV3) is the innovative IT service provider of the Faculty of Law. It provides information technology for the department's administration, research and teaching and cooperates with the cross-departmental areas of IT provision at the University of Münster. In addition to first and second level support, the portfolio includes the technical operation of the IT infrastructure and the development, introduction and support of projects. In this context, the Faculty of Law is looking forward to your support. We are looking for a committed personality with an independent, solution-oriented working style, good conceptual skills and good organizational talent as well as strong communication and cooperation skills. You are also characterized by the ability to work in a team, flexibility and resilience and meet the following profile: Training as an IT specialist in application development or a comparable qualification acquired in practice or a relevant subject-specific degree from a university of applied sciences Sound knowledge of modern IT infrastructures Good knowledge in the field of web application development Good knowledge of the operation and administration of Linux servers Good knowledge in the areas of databases and virtualization Confident command of the German language (C1 level) Knowledge in the following areas is also desirable: Automation of administration and configuration processes Dealing with storage systems, databases, document management Planning and implementation of IT infrastructures Web applications (CMS, web design, HTML and CSS) Development and maintenance of guidelines Your tasks are: Administration and further development of (web) applications and servers Configuration and maintenance of the application infrastructure Collaboration in our DevOps team Familiarization with the IT-Grundschutz methodology of the BSI Team-oriented organization of administration and work processes as well as coordination with specialist users and university IT facilities Collaboration in first and second level support Creation and maintenance of operational documentation Your profit: Exciting and varied tasks in an innovative field of work A pleasant working atmosphere in a team-oriented environment Flexible home office and family-friendly working hours (family service office) An attractive city with high recreational value The University of Münster is committed to equal opportunities and diversity.
