This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be integral to overseeing financial activities across various Nordic subsidiaries while also offering support to other regions throughout Europe. Your contributions will directly impact the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulations, enabling the organization to maintain its commitment to creating healthier futures. Accountabilities
- Responsibility for the General Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Purchase Ledger
- Oversight, review, and coordination of group reporting on a monthly basis
- Balance sheet reconciliation and review
- Management of prepayments and accruals
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Review and approve journals
- Cost Centre reporting and allocation
- Oversee payroll review
- Manage cash flow and cash management
- Lead and develop the Finance team
- Support collaboration with the wider team across Northern and Western Europe
- Coordinate with the Group GAC team
- Ensure compliance with SOX and other reporting regulations
- Prepare statutory accounts and manage annual audits
- Enhance, develop, and document current processes and controls
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects and queries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in utilizing D365 system is a plus
- Fully qualified accountant with knowledge of country-specific GAAP and US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to summarize financial information effectively
- Strategic and commercial acumen with a hands-on approach
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in diverse teams
- Experience with Shared Service Centre and matrixed organizations
- Proven experience in financial management and accounting responsibilities
- Background in legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development
- Ability to prioritize tasks and propose efficiency improvements
- Proven track record in leading finance and accounting professionals
- Experience managing remote teams is desirable
- Technological proficiency with examples of enhancing processes and systems
