Application Security Engineer - Sweden

Position Overview:

Belmont Lavan Ltd is seeking a skilled Application Security Engineer to enhance our security posture in the development lifecycle of our applications. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring that applications are secure by design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of applications to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and provide guidance on application security best practices.
• Design and develop security tools and automation scripts to improve the security of the application environment.
• Participate in threat modeling sessions to understand security implications of application architecture.
• Provide training and awareness programs for development teams on application security issues.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and industry trends to ensure proactive security measures are in place.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of application security principles, tools, and practices.
• Experience with web application security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar.
• Familiarity with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP Top Ten, SANS, etc.).
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
