Job Description - Azure Data Engineer

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

Ingest, transform, and model data from multiple structured and unstructured sources to support reliable analytics and reporting solutions.

Develop semantic data models and build Power BI reports and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making.

Perform data quality validation, integrity checks, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.

Document data engineering processes, technical designs, workflows, and implementation outcomes.

Support organizational data awareness initiatives and provide training where required.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Strong hands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, CI/CD implementation and automation

Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and semantic data modeling.

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL frameworks, and modern data architectures.

Experience handling and processing large-scale datasets, including tables with billions or trillions of rows, is highly preferred.

Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.

Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Storage Explorer.

Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.

Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving mindset.

Open-minded, collaborative, and adaptable to new ideas and technologies.

Passion for continuous learning and process improvement.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Computational Engineering Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
