Book Data Curator

The world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service is looking for a Book Data Curator to join the band in a consultant assignment. The client has transformed music listening forever when launched in 2008.

Period: Mid May to December 31 (full-time), with a possibility of extension.

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Book Data Curator to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of our client's book data.

In the Audiobooks Mission, our client believe that the foundation to a great consumer product is a great creator experience. The team build products and tools for authors and publishers to manage their presence and catalog, and get unprecedented access to information about their content performance. With a new platform for authors, our client setting a new industry standard of developing direct relationships with authors.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and updating a data feed of books associated with authors, ensuring they are correct and complete. Your work will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of their data and delivering a high-quality experience to authors all over the world.

What you'll do

• Review, verify, and update book data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct research across multiple sources (internal and external) to confirm and validate information.
• Handle repetitive and manual data tasks with precision and consistency.
• Prepare regular reports to keep the team informed of your progress.
• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies or incomplete data.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve our tools and identify patterns that can make this process easier, more accurate, and more efficient long-term.

Who you are

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
• Proven ability to research and verify information using reliable sources.
• Comfort with performing repetitive manual tasks while maintaining focus and quality.
• Experience using spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets.
• A passion for books or familiarity with the publishing industry is a strong plus.
