Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented Business Controller to join our finance team at Go North. In this role, you will bridge finance and operations through data-driven insights, system optimization, and collaboration across teams. You will play a key role in financial reporting, process automation, ERP integration, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth. Key Responsibilities

● Optimization of financial processes with a focus on integrations, automation, control, accuracy & timeliness. These processes will mainly be tied to Amazon, Walmart & Shopify, and how the business therein can be correctly and efficiently recorded in the ERP.
● Optimization, maintenance, streamlining & error handling of the integration platform used to integrate information into the ERP, together with Go North’s Accountant
● Actively work together with the datawarehouse team to obtain tools for the finance team to streamline reconciliation of revenue & gain control between the ERP & source systems such as Amazon, Walmart & Shopify
● Actively involved in developing & contributing to efficient processes within finance and supply chain functions, with a focus on utilizing the ERP and integrations’ functionality in an optimal way
● Actively involved in the yearly budgeting & forecasting process
● Actively involved in developing & maintaining monthly management & board performance reports
● Superuser within Finance for the ERP Netsuite, related sytems & integration platform Celigo
● Assisting in daily accounting tasks together with the team
● Assisting in month-end closing activities to ensure completeness in accounting entries, including some monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
● Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and tax
filings, working with external advisers
● Support, maintain and improve internal ERP system policies and procedures
● Support external audits by providing information for auditors
● Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects when assigned or required and manage cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

● At least 4 years experience of work within accounting, controlling or FP&A.
● Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant discipline.
● Working hours Mon-Fri, during CET regular business hours
● Experience of IFRS
● Fluent in English
● Advanced level of excel (pivot tables, vlookup, sumif(s), filters, macros, tables)
● “Can-do”, problem-solving, positive attitude toward process improvement & change with the business
● Interest in learning systems & a drive to be an expert in especially the ERP Netsuite
