Business Line Controller - VP

About the job

EQT is looking for a Vice President Business Controller to join the Private Capital Europe & North America Business Controlling team in Stockholm. This is an important role supporting and strengthening a team of ten, based across Stockholm, Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Bengaluru, as EQT continues to expand its long-hold strategies.

This role reports to the Head of Business Control, Private Capital Europe & North America.

About the team

The Business Line Controlling team supports planning, performance management and decision-making across EQT's business lines. The team connects financial data with business priorities and creates transparency around performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as sparring partner on strategic business controlling matters


• Monitoring portfolio company performance, fund liquidity planning and cash movements to give an accurate, real-time view of fund performance


• Lead valuation work on portfolio companies


• Tracking and monitoring exit forecasts


• Contributing to strategic planning, annual budgeting and internal reporting


• Helping evolve and streamline team structures and processes as EQT continues to scale


• Partnering with the group business line function to provide a consolidated, analytically rigorous, commercially focused perspective


• Driving data quality and digitalization initiatives, in line with EQT's broader digital agenda


• Running and presenting analyses for the Business Line Management Group

Candidate Profile

• University degree in a relevant field


• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in financial, business and/or cost controlling; international experience is a plus


• Experience in financial services or Big 4 is a merit


• Advanced Excel and BI skills


• Strong analytical skills paired with practical, commercial judgment


• Fluent written and spoken English
