Casualty Underwriter

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Casualty Underwriter to strengthen our Swedish underwriting team. In this key role, you will work with large and complex clients, assess risks, design insurance programs, and provide high-quality service to clients and brokers.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Work with large and complex clients, assessing exposures, designing insurance programs, and calculating premiums.

• Build genuine relationships with clients and brokers, negotiate and deliver swift and high-quality services.

• Participate in product-, guidelines- and process development, including Nordic projects.

• Support colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to collective success.

About the team

You will be part of an experienced, engaged and collaborative Casualty Underwriting team based in Stockholm and Gothenburg. We are nine underwriters and one casualty risk specialist.

You will work closely with underwriting assistants, account executives, claims adjusters, and reinsurance specialists as part of cross-functional client teams. You will also work closely together with underwriters in the Nordics and our branch offices.

Who you are

You are a collaborative team-player with strong personal drive, having a proactive and positive mindset and a genuine interest in risks.

• Experienced in casualty underwriting, preferably in the large corporate segment

• Analytical, proactive, and motivated by understanding and assessing risks

• Able to combine strong attention to detail with strategic perspective

• Relevant education, such as but not limited to a degree in law, alternatively other educational background together with relevant experience

• Strong communication and cooperation skills

• Comfortable using data and digital tools to support the underwriting decisions

• Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
