Consultant System Design Engineer / Function Owner; Automotive Connectivity

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical & Electronics Engineer with an interest in function owner development for Vehicle Connectivity. This role involves managing the End User Function (EUF) requirements and ensuring the successful development and implementation of vehicle connectivity functions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Own and manage EUF requirements.


• Analyze function needs based on use cases, technology developments, project prerequisites, features, and regulations.


• Specify EUF in terms of customer needs and desired system behavior, considering all product variations.


• Review and secure commitment with stakeholders for the EUF requirements.


• Lead functional safety work related to vehicle connectivity.


• Collaborate in the development of function verification and validation with the verification engineer.


• Develop and maintain both short-term and long-term function roadmaps.


• Report on EUF maturity, progress, and status.


• Create a delivery plan, including verification and validation strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent.


• Previous experience in function owner roles is highly valued.


• Basic understanding of vehicle connectivity systems and vehicle domain knowledge.


• Knowledge of CAN signaling and basic diagnostics.


• Familiarity with tools such as SE-Tool or System Weaver.


• Ability to develop and manage requirements according to established requirements management processes.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.


• General knowledge of vehicle development and verification.


• Effective stakeholder management skills.
