Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in purchasing productive and non-productive materials and services.
  • Process requisitions, follow through with approvals.
  • Send POs to the suppliers to place orders.
  • Monitor the order cycle with suppliers and ensure that delivery is completed.
  • Maintains approved equipment and software list.
  • Maintains records of prices and terms negotiated with suppliers.
  • Maintains listing of reliable suppliers.
  • Responds to internal inquiries about standard equipment, price and availability of materials and tools.
  • Works independently with decisions made based on established policies and procedures.
  • Supervision available to handle unusual situations.
  • Confirms purchase orders to suppliers
  • Reviews invoices
  • Follows up on negotiated settlements regarding rejected or defective materials.
  • Submits invoice to accounts payable for processing.
  • Advises supervision of unusual or questionable circumstances regarding source and availability of parts
  • Adheres to unit and corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Frequent contact with others outside the work group
  • Build relationships with suppliers.
  • Work with the Operations team to ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge with MS Outlook
  • Knowledge of Workday purchasing tool
  • 1-2 years’ experience using ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
  • Good written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations
  • Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills.
  • Partners with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
  • Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently.
  • Knowledge of commodities, materials and products being purchased.
  • 4-6 years areas of expertise including, Purchasing

Required Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or related Field or equivalent experience.
