Development Engineer at Airsafe Sweden

The role

As Development Engineer at Airsafe Sweden you will be developing new products as well as work with product development of the existing portfolio. In the role you will work together with the Technical manager and be involved in the strategic planning and the processes related to our production, as well as collaborate and coordinate with other functions internally or at sub-contractor. It is important that you are a social person as customer contacts will be a natural part of the role.

Since we are a small company, with in-house production, this role mostly requires physical presence at our office in Upplands Väsby and you are expected to work office hours. Some travel may be required.

Main responsibilities and tasks

• responsible for Research and Development of new possible products as well as for present products within our existing portfolio


• liaise with present and future customers to meet their need of products and support


• sales support


• technical support for our own production


• quality control of manufactured products to make sure they meet specific standards

Your profile

To thrive in this position, we believe that you are a qualified engineer with a couple of years’ experience from a small or medium-sized enterprise. You are interested in innovation and new business opportunities as well as being an internal support to the production process and work closely with the production team.

You have a good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish as well as in English.

Required qualifications:

• B. of Sc., Technical orientation


• knowledge of ISO standards


• hands-on experience in a small-sized manufacturing environment


• good knowledge in technical English

Meritorious if You have:

• experience in developing of safety materials


• previous experience in aviation or aviation safety equipment


• experience of working with the Swedish defence material administration


• knowledge in technical sewing
