Your future

As a Development Manager within Professional Lighting you will play a key role in shaping both our product and the way we work, contributing not only to delivery and quality but also driving innovation, setting technical direction, and nurturing team culture. This is a hybrid role with significant hands-on coding responsibilities alongside team leadership. Your work will have a direct impact on how users experience our technology and products in the field. 

In short, you will:

• Lead, coach, and support a skilled team of five members (embedded software, hardware, app development and product specialist), focusing on team health, growth, and delivery capacity


• Develop a positive team culture and clear ways of working, while supporting the team’s drive and autonomy


• Foster deep domain knowledge and product expertise within the team


• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and other stakeholders, ensuring a high roadmap fidelity and feasibility.


• Translate roadmap into prioritized, actionable work items.


• Drive necessary processes and implement work methods and tools for team development efficiency.


• Participate in architectural discussions and promote technical innovation


• Actively contribute as an embedded developer, delivering high-quality code and acting as a technical role model and collaborative partner


• Release product increments and demonstrate value through key deliverables


• Provide clear, structured reporting on product quality, risks, and development progress


• Ensure adherence to standards and best practices to sustain long-term product quality

About you

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• A passion for team development and continuous improvement


• The ability to lead with clarity, trust, and presence - creating structure while supporting autonomy


• Strong communication skills and proficiency in stakeholder management


• Experience leading development teams and breaking down requirements into actionable tasks


• A solid understanding of low-level embedded C programming and toolchains, with a willingness to remain technically involved


• Understanding of wireless technologies and RF principles


• Experience with CI/CD and test infrastructure involving hardware-in-the-loop


• Background from the entertainment tech sector is a plus, but most important is a passion for building great products and a curiosity to learn the domain


• Fluency in English
