The R&D resources for the three truck brands (Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, and Mack Trucks) are centralized into Volvo Group Trucks Technology. Volvo Group Trucks Technologyprovides state-of-the-art research, cutting-edge engineering, and product planning, as well as aftermarket product support. 

Volvo Group Trucks Technology also delivers technologies to trucks, buses, construction equipment and power solutions for marine and industrial applications. Together, we will continue to grow and build state-of-the-art technology. You will be part of the Technology Strategy and Planning Management team and report directly to VP Technology Strategy and Planning. 

 

To make this a success

The Director Advanced Engineering Management, Electromobility is a senior position which greatly influences the entire organization’s strategies, technical concepts, and tactical deliveries.

You will take the lead in shaping our future technical direction, ensuring our products and solutions maintain a leading position and consistently meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You will manage our Advanced Engineering development portfolio and foster customer centric innovation across the Electromobility organization. You and your team will continuously evaluate opportunities to improve our offerings by leveraging customer insight and technological advancements.

Your strategic leadership and vision for technical innovation inspires your team and gives them the tools to excel. You stay updated on industry trends and provide strategic insights to senior leadership and your team.

Key to success is to foster innovation and collaboration within our development organization and together with Volvo Group stakeholders.

What to bring 

Extensive experience of driving strategical and technological roadmaps, based on company strategies.

Experience of leading platform development. 

Ability to analyze industry trends and technological advancements. 

Courage to prioritize and balance stakeholder expectations and needs. 

Extensive technical development experience, including Advanced Engineering. 

Senior managerial experience, preferably within automotive industry (leading leader level) 

Engineering education, preferably a MSc.
