At Inriver, we help brands deliver better product experiences — wherever their customers are. From the first product detail to the final purchase decision, we make product information work smarter.
We are now looking for a hands-on Director, Marketing Operations & Web to join on a maternity coverage basis to our team in Malmö. You’ll sit at the center of our go-to-market engine: the systems that capture, route, and measure every lead, the website that generates most of them, and the budget that funds it all.
This is a hands-on operating role supporting a lean marketing team. You’ll be the administrator and owner of record for our martech systems and the technical owner of Inriver.com
Our current stack includes Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), WordPress (multi-language), Google Analytics and Search Console, 6sense, Chili Piper, and Cognism.
Real ownership from day one: you’re the admin and decision-maker for the systems behind Inriver’s pipeline, not a ticket-taker.
Full-funnel visibility: Salesforce, Pardot, intent data, the website, and the budget all sit in one seat.
A clear, defined mandate with a CMO who values operational excellence and good documentation.
A team that already executes well, and you’re the operational backbone they rely on.
A global, PE-backed SaaS company with a strong product and a friendly, down-to-earth culture.
Marketing operations and systems
Own lead and campaign management in Salesforce: lead assignment rules, marketing-related flows, campaigns, and the full Lead → MQL → SQL → Opportunity model, including opportunity attribution.
Administer Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot): lists, emails, forms, hosted files, Engagement Studio, and Salesforce sync health.
Own marketing reporting and attribution: maintain the official marketing dashboards, run first-pass opportunity source attribution (primary campaign source, lead source, MQL dates), and resolve data discrepancies with Commercial Ops.
Administer the marketing tech stack and own its vendor relationships. You’ll support the team running paid search, social, and AEO.
Run data enrichment and list-building programs, and keep our ICP tracking current.
Maintain integrations between marketing tools and platforms such as Salesforce, Zapier, and 6sense.
Run the technical side of our webinar program: smooth execution, lead flow, attendee and no-show updates, and post-webinar materials.
Own UTM governance and paid media tracking so channel owners can trust their numbers.
Website operations
Act as technical product owner for inriver.com (WordPress, in English, German, and French). Manage our external development agency from ticket logging and scoping through prioritization, UAT, release scheduling, and post-release validation, and oversee hosting.
Own everything behind the front end: user management, site settings, plugins (including Yoast SEO Premium), form templates, menus, redirects, and site-level translations.
Own the data flowing from the website into GA4, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Pardot, and Salesforce.
Set up gated content and landing pages end to end (Pardot form handlers, thank-you experiences, file hosting), and support the content editors who publish blogs, case studies, event pages, etc.
Monitor site performance, speed, and technical SEO health, and keep business listings on Google, Apple, and Bing Maps accurate.
Budget and administration
Maintain the marketing budget tracker, reconcile actuals with Finance monthly, and flag variances to the CMO early.
Work with the marketing team to ensure invoices are coded to the right project and routed to the right approver, and that contracts and invoices are filed and easy to find.
Manage tech stack subscriptions, renewals, and vendor relationships.
We don’t expect you to tick every single box, but for this role we do need most of the following:
✔️8+ years in B2B marketing operations, including at least 3 years leading marketing operations or marketing technology at a B2B SaaS or technology company.
✔️Deep, hands-on Salesforce (or similar CRM system) experience on the marketing side: lead assignment rules, flows, campaigns, reports, and dashboards. You’ve built these yourself, not just requested them.
✔️Expert-level MAP admin experience (preferably MCAE/Pardot), including managing forms, Engagement Studio, and Salesforce connector troubleshooting.
✔️Hands-on WordPress administration. You’re comfortable in wp-admin, a GTM container, and a browser console, and you can write basic code and manage others who write more complex experiences.
✔️Experience managing an external web or development agency through a structured release process.
✔️A track record of owning a lead funnel and attribution model that Sales and Finance trust.
✔️Experience owning a marketing budget, including monthly reconciliation with Finance.
✔️The ability to get up to speed fast in an established environment, and the discipline to document as you go.
✔️Fluency in written and spoken English, and the flexibility to work regularly with colleagues in Europe and the United States.
