Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 USD based on experience, plus equity and benefits

We’re now hiring an Editorial Manager to join our growing team. You’ll work alongside our existing team of editors and writers to help ensure appealing, high-quality, thorough, and error-free listings. Notably, you’ll also be responsible – alongside our Auction Managers, editing team, and Product team – for continuously improving our writing and editing process and for leveraging tools and technology to make editing and listing preparation faster, easier, and more consistent.  

Other duties will include supporting the ongoing development of our style and standards, as well as directly training and supporting writers and editors – with a core focus on delivering the best possible seller experience.

This is a dynamic role that blends automotive knowledge, writing and editing ability, technology, and process optimization. If you’re obsessed with cars, thrive in fast-paced environments, and know how to leverage technology and build processes and systems, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and continuously improve Cars & Bids editing guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to make writing, editing, and the full seller experience faster, easier, and more efficient
• Support our efforts to continuously improve our platform, tools, and internal processes
• Leverage technology – including AI – to facilitate the writing and editing process
• Help ensure consistent and high-quality listing output 
• In collaboration, manage and hire Editors and Writers, as necessary
• Work closely with our Auction Managers and writing teams to build thorough, engaging auction listings and appealing, well-organized photo galleries.

What We’re Looking For

• A deep passion for enthusiast cars and the automotive world
• Proven experience in technical writing and/or copy editing, ideally with demonstrated ability to have consistent writing and editing output with low error rates
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational habits
• Familiarity with AI and other emerging technology
• An eye for process improvement and a desire to make things better
• Experience with product planning processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience providing high-touch customer support in fast-paced settings, ideally at startups, marketplaces, or online platforms
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• A collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally
• Adaptability, energy, and enthusiasm for startup-style environments
