Equipment Engineer

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Equipment Engineer to join our team in Västerås.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The Equipment Engineer will need to be the main technical contact point for next generation of processing equipment from conceptual phase all the way through to commissioning . This position is instrumental to scale up Northvolt's operations in Sweden and beyond.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinating the installation of new equipment with project engineer
• Conduct FAT/SAT for upcoming new equipment
• Ensure that supplier provides a proper training to operators and maintenance team how to use and care of new equipment
• Develop improvements & corrective actions to enhance equipment reliability and scalability.
• Support machine champion with analysing equipment malfunctions and failures
• Assist machine champion for trouble-shooting and repair of T&V test lab assets together with Maintenance
• Design and develop fixtures/jigs & small test equipment with TVE
• T&V contact to our suppliers

Requirements

Qualifications and experience

• BSc/MSc mechanical/electrical engineering
• 2+ years experience in similar roles
• Passion for technique & machines
• Excellent communication and team working skills

Specific skills

• Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
• Highly organized and result-driven
• Customer focused
• Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
• Ability to work in a high profile and often high-pressured international environment
