Barnfonden is a politically and religiously independent child rights organisation based in Malmö, Sweden. Since 1991, we’ve worked to improve the lives of children around the world through rights-based, climate-aware, and community-driven development. As a member of the ChildFund Alliance, we support programmes across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, working alongside local partners to help children thrive at every life stage. A core programme funded through the generous support of over 20,000 Swedish sponsors and donors is supplemented by grants from major institutions such as Forum Civ/Sida, Radiohjälpen and the EU.
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance and Compliance Officer to join our dynamic international programme team. The role is vital in ensuring strong financial quality, accountability, and compliance throughout the project cycle in line with Barnfonden’s and our donors’ requirements.
You are structured, proactive, and confident in managing deadlines, while also being flexible and collaborative. You combine professionalism with a strong sense of integrity and can build sustainable relationships with colleagues and partners across cultures. You are committed to financial transparency and contribute actively to the strategic goals of Barnfonden.
Please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your motivation and qualifications. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
If you want to help shape a better world for children and bring both financial expertise and passion for development, we’d love to hear from you.
At Barnfonden, we strive for diversity and for our workplace to reflect the society we live in. We therefore welcome applicants who can contribute to diversity and further to Barnfonden's goal of being a workplace where everyone feels included.
