Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center.  AKSC has established an organization that sees its purpose as helping children to learn strong VALUES with which they will set worthy GOALS and for which we must train them in the SKILLS needed to achieve those goals.  Sport training is the tool we use to achieve that purpose.

About the role

Are you bubbly, outgoing, and passionate about kids and sports? Do you love creating great first impressions? American Kids Sports Center is looking for an enthusiastic Greeter to welcome first-time families and ensure they feel informed, excited, and at home. As a key ambassador of our brand, you will be the first face our customers see and the one who makes their transition into our programs seamless and enjoyable.

Location: American Kids Sports Center (All Locations)

Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible Scheduling Available)

What you'll do

• Warmly greet all first-time families upon arrival with a smile and upbeat energy.
• Provide a guided tour of the facility, highlighting key areas like class zones, restrooms, cafe, parent viewing, and retail areas.
• Escort families to their correct class location, introduce them to the instructor, and answer any preliminary questions.
• Clearly explain program-specific requirements, including uniforms, equipment, and what to expect in the first few sessions.
• Assist parents with understanding what items need to be purchased and direct them to the appropriate location in our Pro Shop.
• Serve as an informational resource, answering questions about class schedules, move ups, skill tracking and other AKSC services.
• Help families feel comfortable and confident about their decision to join an AKSC sport.

Qualifications

• Must be naturally friendly, outgoing, and upbeat — a people-person who thrives in social settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills & Bilingual; comfortable speaking to individuals and small groups.
• Passion for children and youth development through sports and fitness.
• Familiarity with AKSC programs (Gymnastics, Swim, Dance, Martial Arts, etc.) is a huge plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and handle new situations with poise.
• Must be a team player and ready to jump in where needed.
