Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is a must
• Ability to pass a background check and a drug test
• 5+ years of automotive and diesel repair, Class 8 trucks employment experience or combination of education & experience, with verifiable certifications.
• CDL a plus, but not required
• Must have appropriate mechanic’s tool set
• Must be capable of working independently and work as a team in a team environment
• Motivated to work in a safe environment and keep workspace clean and tidy
• Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays
• Company training

Responsibilities

• Fleet Maintenance Mechanic Major Responsibilities, but not limited to:
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our customers
• Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, Light duty engine & service and repairs
• Order accurate parts for completing the job
• Highly efficient in time management
• Must be able to follow oral and written instruction and be communicative with supervisor with questions or problems
• Capable of making schedules
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately with detailed documentation and in a timely manner
• Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: starting at $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
