About the role
Being a Global Account Manager is a senior strategic account management role focusing on creating long-lasting and sustainable partnership with DFDS’ largest industrial customers.
In line with the business strategy and defined targets, your focus will be on ensuring that existing business is protected and profitable, but also for growing the customer accounts within DFDS core product areas.
You will work closely together with the core commercial account team in Europe, and you will be driving collaboration with an extended team supporting within areas such as Commercial Excellence, Operations Excellence, Business Development, Decarbonization, and Marketing.
You will belong to Global Industry Sales which sits inside DFDS Strategic Sales department. Global Account Manager is a senior position based in Gothenburg (Sweden), you will report to Malin Walberg (Head of Global Industry Sales) located in Copenhagen and there are no direct reports in this role.
About you
You possess expertise in the automotive field and you have several years experience from account management in the logistics industry. Experience within contract logistics is meritorious. To become successful in the role you should also have a commercial background and a proven, successful, sales track record for delivering excellent sales results to strategic customers.
We are looking for a person with a strong personal drive and ability to create trustful relationships. An entrepreneurial spirit and opportunity driven person that is good at establishing customer relationships will have great chance to succeed in this role.
English is a prerequisite, and we expect you to have a university degree in a relevant field.
The applicant is located in Gothenburg. Since you will be working in an international context, travelling within Europe will be required.
