As Head of Business Continuity you will be crucial in supporting our business areas, claims and corporate function on setting standards, manage If’s business continuity framework and ensuring that initiatives to strengthen the resilience of our operations are coordinated effectively across the business and IT. About the role

As Head of Business Continuity some of your tasks will be to:

• Lead and facilitate work with business representatives to manage If’s business continuity framework and policies.

• Ensure that cross-unit needs are identified, and that initiatives are coordinated, especially between business and IT.

• Build business continuity expertise in If, monitor development in BCM standards, regulation and benchmark with peers in the financial industry.

• Act as key contact with external stakeholders (e.g., FSA and other government or industry forums) related to business continuity and crisis management.

• Ensure coordination between Ifs business continuity and crisis management, work as enabler to enhance collaboration between internal teams and third-party vendors in a crisis situation.

About the team

The Head of Business Continuity is a role in the Internal Control & Risk team, which work closely with representatives from all areas in If. The team consist of internal control & risk professionals that work both specifically with stakeholders in the CFO organization and with framework implementation for the Group.

Who are you?

You have strong project management and interpersonal skills, with ability to operate and interact with all levels within an organization. You are well experienced in the insurance/financial service industry and can apply a strategic mindset, leveraging your previous experience in insurance operations and business continuity, to best help If reach our core mission even in times of disruption. Ability to work independently, having an overview of If’s business continuity priorities and act as the main contact in business continuity matters, both internally and with the Swedish FSA. Experience working with ISO 22301 or similar BCM standards is meritorious.

You also have:

• A relevant academic degree.

• Proven experience of implementing and managing business continuity programs.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to present complex insights clearly in Swedish and English.
