Head of Controlling, Head Office

We’re looking for a Head of Controlling, Head Office to join us at Telia.

I’m Elena Denkert, Head of Corporate Control, and I’m searching for someone to join Group Finance and play a key role in strengthening financial performance, transparency and decision support across Telia Company’s Group Functions.

As Head of Controlling, Head Office, you will lead and develop the controlling agenda for our Group Functions, namely: People & Culture, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs and CBS (Communications, Brand and Sustainability).

In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders – supporting them with insights, challenging where needed, and helping translate strategy into financial outcomes.

What you’ll do:

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance follow-up for Group Functions
• Drive proactive business partnering with senior stakeholders across the organization
• Develop cost allocation and service charge models, ensuring transparency and alignment
• Improve controlling processes through simplification, standardization, and continuous development
• Strengthen a culture of cost awareness, accountability, and value creation
• Lead and support a small, high-performing team of business controllers

This role also involves supporting special projects and strategic assignments as needed.

What will help you thrive in this role:

We believe you bring a degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, along with around 5-8 years of experience in controlling, finance business partnering or similar roles. You are an inclusive and structured leader who combines strong analytical skills with a collaborative mindset and business understanding. You are comfortable both supporting and constructively challenging stakeholders, and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

• Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, controlling, or business partnering
• Strong knowledge of cost allocation, shared services, and working in larger organizations
• Ability to build trust, influence decisions, and collaborate with senior stakeholders
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Experience with SAP-based financial systems is beneficial
