Tasks

• Together with your agile team, as a backend developer you are responsible for the development and operation of our service platform components.
• You work in a cross-functional team and deliver everything from a single source - from architecture to development and operation.
• Your job doesn't just start with the development of software: you coordinate closely with your digital service owner and IT architects and advise them on the technical feasibility and concrete implementation of digital innovations.
• As a backend developer, you design new functions for our service platform and implement central components
• You support the management of external service providers and take responsibility for the deployment and operation of highly available and scalable services
• With the help of automated testing procedures (JUnit, Post-/Newman, etc.) you ensure continuous quality control and optimization. You also always keep an eye on the security of the developed services.
• You use new technologies and make the best possible use of innovative concepts and tools, but are also not afraid to tidy up existing code & always keeping an eye on its functionality and performance.

Profile

• Whether you have completed a degree or training in IT is not important to us - what counts for us are your professional skills and your personality.
• You have several years of practical experience and sound knowledge in the development of Java-based applications (incl. Spring (Boot), Quarkus, Microprofile, REST).
• Experience in developing JavaScript solutions will help you to drive the automation of DevOps processes.
• Ideally, you have already developed for cloud environments (preferably: Serverless on AWS) or migrated applications to them and have expertise in automation (CI / CD).
• You have the ambition to familiarize yourself with new technologies and to test them in relation to the project application and can also communicate complex technical contexts to non-technical colleagues.
• You are good at prioritizing and have a feel for the right balance between pragmatism and perfectionism
