Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing all legal matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and corporate governance. This role will be hands-on with focus on contract management and provide strategic legal leadership while ensuring the company operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities 

Legal Oversight & Risk Management

• Lead contract negotiations and legal risk assessments across customer, vendor, and partnership agreements.


• Ensure compliance with international and regional laws relevant to SaaS, content delivery, and IT security 


• Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on legal risks, intellectual property, and corporate governance.


• Work closely with external legal counsel on complex legal cases and dispute resolution.

Contract & Commercial Legal Management

• Oversee customer contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and licensing models.


• Support Sales, Finance, and Partnerships teams in structuring legally sound agreements.


• Ensure contracts align with business goals while mitigating risks.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Collaborate with Compliance & ISO teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations.


• Provide legal input on security, privacy, and data protection policies.


• Support the Board with administration and ensure required documentations
  

Insurances

• Full control of our insurances globally and ensure that we have the correct information sharing with respective insurance providers. 


• Annually secure that insurance policies are updated in the correct way. 


• Act as a project leader when and if information needs to be gathered and shared.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Nordic Law degree with 7+ years of experience in corporate, IT, or SaaS-related law


• At least 5 years experience from working at a reputable law firm


• Proficient in English and Swedish, with strong communication skills


• Extensive experience in contract law, negotiations, and risk mitigation


• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and impacting, products, service, IT and SaaS 


• Ability to work cross-functionally within a global organisation 


• Experience managing external legal counsel for high-risk cases
