Lifecycle & Retention Manager

As our Lifecycle & Retention Manager, you’ll shape how HomeQ engages and communicates with users throughout their journey, from activation and engagement to retention and conversion.

With 1.4+ million registered users and around 10 million emails sent every month, there’s significant potential to make our communication more relevant, personalized and impactful. You’ll have the opportunity to build the structures and ways of working that help us get there.

How we work

You’ll be part of a small marketing team and report directly to our CMO. You’ll work closely with product and engineering to connect user behavior with relevant communication across the customer journey.

Today, we already send millions of emails and have several automated flows in place. The next step is to make them smarter, more personalized and easier to manage at scale. A modern customer engagement platform will be an important part of that journey, and you’ll play a key role in shaping how it is implemented and used.

We move quickly and expect everyone to contribute hands-on. AI tools are a natural part of how we solve problems, create content and make everyday work more efficient.

Your mission

Your main focus will be building and improving lifecycle communication across our consumer business. You’ll:

• Develop automated and personalized journeys across activation, engagement, retention, reactivation and conversion

• Segment users based on behavior, activity and where they are in their housing journey

• Turn product events and user behavior into relevant triggers and communication

• Help shape and implement our customer engagement platform and the ways of working around it

• Experiment with messaging, timing, channels and offers to continuously improve results

• Measure the impact of lifecycle initiatives and use insights to decide what to improve next

• Work with product and engineering to identify the data and events needed for better personalization

• Develop lifecycle communication for our landlord customers, including HomeQ Mini and Power Marketing

The majority of the role is focused on B2C, with a smaller part dedicated to B2B customer journeys.

We hope you have

• Experience within lifecycle, CRM, retention marketing or a similar field

• Hands-on experience building automated customer journeys and communication flows

• Experience working with customer engagement platforms such as Braze, Customer.io, Iterable or similar

• A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Experience using customer behavior and data to improve communication and business outcomes

• A good understanding of digital products and how marketing, product and technology work together

• The ability to work independently and turn ideas into action

• Curiosity for technology and experience using AI tools in your work

• Fluent English and strong Swedish language skills

You don’t need to be a data engineer, but you should be comfortable finding and working with the data you need. Experience with SQL, Metabase, BigQuery, Amplitude or similar tools is a plus.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience from a consumer subscription, marketplace or fintech business

• Worked with activation, retention, churn or recurring revenue

• Been involved in implementing or migrating a customer engagement platform

• Experience working across both B2C and B2B customer journeys
