Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, full-time role ideal for someone with a solid background in diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, diagnostics, light-duty repairs, and fabrication. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, team-oriented, and ready to take on challenges in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Our safety focused company is seeking a dedicated, dependable experience Preventative Maintenace Mechanic to join our company in our mission to help with water conservation in the state of Arizona. This position will be based out of our indoor yard close to downtown Phoenix. You will be working closely with our Lead Mechanic doing preventative maintenance work for all company fleet vehicles.

Duties Include but not limited to:

• Performing Shop maintenance and cleaning of floors and equipment
• Tracking parts and inputting deliveries into Whip Around
• Pick up and deliver vehicles under 26k GVW.
• Assist in field service work and repairs when needed
• Make decisions using good judgment and common sense
• Perform Preventative maintenance on Fleet vehicles tasks such as (as needed):
• Fuel filter replacement
• Air filter replacement
• Changing engine oil and Transmission fluid
• Brake inspections, Air brake inspections including adjustments
• Lube/Grease chassis
• Replace light bulbs

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience
• Perform PM mechanic work for company fleet
• Ability to work independently with low supervision
• Basic tools (a plus)
• Work on construction and heavy equipment as needed
• Skilled and knowledgeable in air brakes (preferred)
• Perform tune ups and provide service for safe drivability of vehicles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
