Job Description - Manufacturing Associate

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a manufacturing associate. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society, and this is your opportunity to take part in leading those efforts and help drive us to success.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform work tasks as instructed by manager.
  • Report failures and deviations on equipment as well as conducting root cause analysis on various issues.
  • Assure safe operations.
  • Daily safety improvement work to reach world class in safety.
  • Monitor process from control room – regulate pressure, temperature, chemicals etc.
  • Conduct sampling to ensure material is not contaminated.
  • Perform visual inspections and equipment maintenance (pipes, pumps and valves).
  • Take proper actions when facing failures and deviations affecting the production.
  • Perform risk analysis and issue permits according to routines.
  • Support managers and colleagues in creating a good working environment through inclusion, motivation, engagement, creativity, good communication and high ambitions.
  • Actively participate in Safety, Quality, Environment and Improvement work according to Northvolt routines and legislation.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous training experience as Entry/Manufacturing Associate at Northvolt and/or previous experience from working in Process Industry including safety procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Specific skills:

  • Good communication skills as you will work in close collaboration with many different teams.
  • Good understanding of machines, equipment as pipes, pumps and valves.
  • Be generally safety and quality conscious.
  • Responsibility to see your own obligation in situations and take on new duties.
  • Collaborative and able to work with others to achieve results and reach common goals.
