About the Assignment

Are you an experienced Network Specialist who enjoys working with complex enterprise infrastructure, network security, and hybrid cloud environments?

We are looking for a hands-on Network Specialist Consultant, developing, and optimising its enterprise network infrastructure. You will play an important role in ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity across corporate, manufacturing, and digital business environments.

This is an opportunity to work in a technically demanding, multi-site organisation where network availability, security, and operational performance are critical to business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Network Specialist Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Network infrastructure: Manage and optimise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, internet connectivity, and remote access solutions.

Routing and switching: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing, switching, network segmentation, and connectivity services.

Network security: Administer enterprise firewalls, security policies, network access controls, and network hardening activities.

VPN and secure connectivity: Implement and support Site-to-Site VPN, Remote Access VPN, IPSec, and SSL VPN solutions.

Hybrid cloud connectivity: Support secure and reliable connections between on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

Monitoring and troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, availability, utilisation, and capacity. Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Resilience and business continuity: Design and maintain high-availability network architectures, redundancy solutions, and disaster recovery capabilities.

Network services: Support DNS, DHCP, IP address management (IPAM), load balancing, and related infrastructure services.

Lifecycle and modernisation: Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, hardware refreshes, migrations, office expansions, and network transformation projects.

Automation and efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve network operations through scripting, automation, and infrastructure management tools.

Documentation and collaboration: Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures while coordinating with security teams, telecommunications providers, vendors, and managed service partners.

You will also contribute to vulnerability remediation, patch management, change management, and on-call support for critical incidents when required.

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically strong and proactive network professional who combines hands-on engineering skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting, security, and operational reliability.

To succeed in this assignment, you should have:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.

At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network operations, infrastructure engineering, or a similar technical role.

Proven experience managing enterprise network infrastructure and business-critical connectivity services.

Strong practical knowledge of routing and switching technologies, ideally within Cisco, Fortinet, Huawei, or equivalent environments.

Experience configuring and supporting enterprise firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security solutions, including Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA, or equivalent platforms.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, DNS, DHCP, and NAT.

Experience working with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, internet edge, and remote access environments.

A solid understanding of network segmentation, Zero Trust principles, intrusion prevention, and access management.

Experience supporting hybrid connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and AWS, Azure, and/or Alibaba Cloud.

Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Additional Merits

The following experience and qualifications will be considered advantageous:

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.

Experience from the automotive industry, R&D environments, manufacturing, or other complex multi-site enterprises.

Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.

Familiarity with network monitoring, observability, and performance management platforms.

Experience with ITIL-based service management, including incident, problem, and change management.

Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability network design.

The ability to communicate technical risks, solutions, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, written and/or spoken.
