Operations Manager

Overall responsibility for the Operational Performance of the Scandinavia Project Portfolio. Ensure operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
Coordinate and oversee team development and standardized process development to continually improve effectiveness of project execution teams.

 

• Areas of responsibilities : execution strategies, financial performance, timeliness of deliveries, customer interface and world class safety and integrity performance.

• Project Leadership & Portfolio : Leads implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation. 40+ Team Members, 200 MUSD+ Projects, Multiple Site Locations in Sweden & Other Locations, Project Teams, & Support Functions

• People Leadership & Development: Operations include Engineering, Commissioning, Project Management, and Project Planning, ensures that the operations function is structured to fit the business model, sufficiently staffed with skilled resources and directed appropriately. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within HR policies. Oversees competency assessments and ensures that project staff is licensed and certified appropriately.

• Stakeholder Management : Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues within the project execution team & customer project steering committees.

Qualifications:

• Solid Business Unit process knowledge or general operational knowledge including P&L knowledge.
• 10 -15 years’ of work experience in EPC Project Management/Construction preferably Power Substations business
• Has executed at least 1 EPC complex project (50 - 100 MUSD+) as PM
• Extensive Construction experience
• Experience as a line manager in a multicultural environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Swedish (Native)
• Experience in Process Management and IS application technology
