The Role
TOTEME is looking for a Raw Material Development Manager to join the team in Stockholm for a parental cover. You will lead a team of two and oversee all raw material components across collections, including development, ordering, sustainability tracking, and supplier relationships. You will work closely with the vendors, the Product Development team and the Design team to ensure that the creative and commercial vision is translated into product. This is a role that blends strategic leadership with day-to-day operational and creative work.
Responsibilities
Oversee the full development and industrialization of all fabrics, trims, and components across collections.
Act as a key partner to the Design Director and design team, participating in research and design meetings and contributing technical input to support the design vision.
Lead seasonal material research, innovation scouting, and creative proposals in line with TOTEME’s aesthetic and values.
Manage day-to-day development workflows including material data entry in PLM, collection of certifications, and upkeep of all technical documentation.
Drive sustainability efforts within raw materials, ensuring full traceability, compliance with TOTEME’s standards, and close collaboration with the Sustainability team.
Lead and coach the team, ensuring smooth communication and clear delegation, and continuous development.
Set and implement the raw materials critical path with Product Development and Design, ensuring deadlines are met and risks addressed proactively.
Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric and trim suppliers, aligning on quality, timelines, innovation capabilities, and cost.
Order and deliver raw materials in time for development and production, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and sustainability requirements.
Your Profile
Demonstrated experience leading a team.
Proven experience in fabric development, sourcing, or raw materials management within a fashion brand.
Strong technical knowledge of fabrics, trims, and supplier capabilities.
Confident working with designers, with the ability to understand and interpret their creative vision to source the right materials.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and experience working with PLM or ERP systems (knowledge of Zedonk is a plus).
Fluent in English, written and spoken.

This is a full-time position based at TOTEME's headquarters in Stockholm starting in September.
