This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Accounting Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial operations within various Nordic subsidiaries while collaborating across Europe. Your leadership will help ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations, impacting the organization's overall financial health. By managing a team of dedicated professionals, you will contribute to strategic decisions and efficiency improvements, driving success in a dynamic international environment.
Accountabilities
- Responsibility for the General Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Purchase Ledger
- Oversight, review, and coordination of group reporting on a monthly basis
- Balance sheet reconciliation and review
- Prepayments and accruals management
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Reviewing and approving journals
- Cost Centre reporting and allocation
- Payroll review
- Cash management oversight
- Management and development of the Finance team
- Collaboration with the wider team across Northern and Western Europe
- Coordination with the Group GAC team
- SOX and other compliance reporting
- Preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit management
- Enhancement and documentation of current processes and controls
- Handling ad-hoc projects and queries
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in utilizing the D365 system is a plus
- Fully qualified accountant with knowledge of country-specific GAAP and US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to summarize financial information effectively
- Strategic and commercial acumen, with hands-on capabilities
- Excellent people skills in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in Shared Service Centre and matrix organization
- Demonstrated financial management and accounting experience
- Experience with legal, audit, compliance, and budget development
- Resourcefulness in prioritizing and improving efficiencies
- Proven leadership abilities in finance and accounting
- Desireable experience managing a team across locations
- Technologically savvy, with examples of process improvements
