The Opportunity

As Retail Insurance Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the development, coordination, and optimization of retail insurance products and services across our markets.

With responsibilities spanning strategic planning, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement, this role is central to ensuring Polestar’s insurance solutions seamlessly integrate into the customer journey.

In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for insurance-related activities, collaborating closely with both central and market teams. Your efforts will shape insurance campaigns, refine customer experiences, and drive performance improvements—all while supporting the rollout of new car models and model years.

The Responsibilities

• Strategize and Execute: Overall lead for retail insurance with focus on governance, stakeholder management, as well as sales and campaign implementation for dedicated markets, supported by data-driven insights like benchmarking and price analysis.
• Enhance Customer Experience: Continuously improve the customer journey by managing touchpoints and proactively initiating enhancements.
• Launch with Excellence: Ensure insurance products are market-ready for new model and model year launches.
• Drive Performance: Optimize and increase profitability by analyzing and optimizing insurance performance, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Collaborate Effectively: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on operations, legal compliance, and customer care cases.
• Be a Thought Leader: Act as the central expertise hub for retail insurance, ensuring Polestar remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovation.

What You Bring

• Expertise in Retail Insurance: Proven experience in relevant retail insurance products such as motor vehicle insurance, financial insurance, and warranty insurance.
• Operational Excellence: Strong background in insurance with focus on sales, marketing, and process optimization within the automotive or finance industries.
• Strategic and Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to drive strategy while managing budgets and performance metrics.
• Leadership Skills: A collaborative yet decisive leader with exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the automotive value chain and the evolving landscape of electric vehicles.
