About the position

As the Sales Director Engineering & Toolingyou will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy,ensuring that our vision is realized across the sales region. You will developand manage growth plans to secure a leading position in the market at both thesegment/customer level and on product level. We are looking for an enthusingand communicative leader who finds it motivating and challenging to directlycontribute to the overall success of SSAB, making a tangible impact on thegrowth and profitability.
You will report to Head of Specialty Productsand be part of the Management Team for Specialty Products consisting of SalesDirectors for other product areas.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop Sales Team: Lead and developa global sales organization with two Area Sales Managers and 20 employees,ensuring they have the skills and motivation needed to achieve individual andteam targets.
  • SalesManagement & Performance Monitoring: Oversee budget, forecast, pricing, newcustomer development, and follow-up of volumes and margins. Analyze salesperformance metrics, generate reports, and adjust strategies as needed tooptimize results.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue newmarket opportunities, partnerships, and business growth avenues.
  • Volume Profitability: Drive volumeprofitability through the upgrading and development of strategic products.
  • Growth Achievement: Implement growth plans toachieve a leading position in Special Steels.)

About You

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering and/orequivalent professional experience.
  • Solid leadership skills. As a leader youmanage to build trust as well as inspire and enthuse a team that is spread outinternationally.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of globalsteel business and value creation business.
  • You have a demonstrated track record ofachieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Very strong communication skills as well asthe ability to build relationships with both internal and externalstakeholders.
  • Good strategic ability.
