We’re looking for a Sales Specialist to drive growth in our Motors, Drives and Automation team and take our successful Motion business in Sweden to the next level. In this role, you will be an essential part of an experienced and collaborative sales team, delivering innovative Motor, Drive and Automation solutions to OEMs, system integrators, and end users in close co-operation with our factories in Europe and globally. As a Sales Specialist, you will create and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth through both new and existing customers. You will take full ownership of your targets, continuously analyze market trends, and proactively identify actions to ensure success. By understanding customer applications, business models, and challenges, you will work closely with internal experts to deliver tailored product and solution proposals - creating real value to the market!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive new business and sales growth by actively hunting for new opportunities, developing and executing sales plans, and identifying growth potential through market trends, applications, and customer needs across industries.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with OEMs, system integrators, partners, and end users, with a strong understanding of customer business models and how ABB Drive and Automation solutions deliver measurable value.
  • Act as an ambassador for the ABB Motion portfolio, creating value-based offerings and representing the full portfolio to the market.
  • Manage complex sales cycles and collaborate cross-functionally by coordinating internal and external stakeholders and working closely with the broader sales organization to share opportunities, align strategies, and ensure successful deal execution.

Qualifications for the role 

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and structured, with strong planning and execution skills. Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented with experience in long sales cycles and complex technical sales, preferably involving OEM channel sales and end-customer engagement.
  • A university degree in engineering (e.g. electrical or mechanical) is meritorious, as well as relevant experience in technical sales, automation, project management, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of electric motors as well as drives and automation solutions (PLCs ) with the ability to translate technical value into customer benefits.
  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset, with proven ability to build and manage customer relationships at multiple organizational levels.
  • Genuine interest in technology and learning, with a valid driver’s License (B) required for customer visits.
